My favorite teacher by Daniel Pittet
My favorite teacher
My favorite teacher was a teacher of chess. He played chess very well. He was a chess master. His name was Jean Pierre Mercier. He was not old,but not very young at all. He was very tall and robust. He was bald and he stand upright. He had always his hands in his pockets. He was kind, funny and made a lot of jokes to make us laughing. I was his pupil since i was 7 years old. I played chess with him 3 times a week. He taught me a lot of strategies. Every saturday we had a little tournament between all the peoples of our club. Th e winner got a lot of candels and especially the winner had a privilege to play against Jean Pierre.
That emboldened children to fight for the victory. Once a month we played against other clubs but just the best peoples of our club partake in this tournament. One day one of the children who must partake in the tournament was seek so Jean Pierre suggested to me to partake in that tournament in its stead. So I said “yes of course”. One week i trained every day with my teacher of chess four hours a day. The day of the tournament i was very stress. Finally I took the third place. It was the beginning of my carrier of a chess player thanks to Jean Pierre. One year later he moved to 'Aix les bains' and i came to moscow. I regret that I can't continue to play chess with him. I continued chess only 2 years and after I stopped chess because i don't have enough time for school and playing chess as well.
